Three of the ladies wanted to go looking for their ball gowns so eight more of us got together to help them out. You know how it is – women go together to do things.
Off we went in three cars and first stop was Refinery across the street from Robies (pronounced Ra-bees). This consignment store had a lot of pretty things but expensive $50-$60 for a gown you will only use once.
Celine was lucky and found a few things to try on
but finally decided on this outfit we put together
Off to The ARC here in Abbeville for more looking but didn’t find anything.
So now it was on to New Iberia to their ARC
but we didn’t find anything here so on to Goodwill in New Iberia. This seems to be the best place to try as we found gowns here last time. After surveying the choices “the trying on” part began.
Here Linda find her gown….she looks like Glenda the Good Witch in the Wizard of Oz. All she needs now is a scepter and tiara.
That was all hard work so we went to lunch at Chile Verde, a favorite of Betty’s Gang
And ya’ll know me, I always take pictures of the food.
Happy hour started shortly after our return and continued on through a thunderstorm and massive amounts of rain most of the night. We all long for warm and sunny weather.
Remember, you are loved.
You guys are having too much fun!
ReplyDeleteSounds like ya'll are having a great time.
