Evening Concert

And the whirlwind of Mardi Gras activities begin……

Yesterday was another warm and pretty day here in the Heart of Cajun Country. Folks were out and about and running errands.  For a second time we sat outside in the patio for happy hour which is so nice.  You can walk around, join other conversations, walk around the table to snack, etc.

I made a new snack some of you might be interested in.  You take a head of cauliflower and break it down into  bite-size flowerets.  Place these in a bowl and top with a 6-8 oz. jar of sun-dried tomatoes pesto.  Mix, mix, mix it well till each floweret is covers in the pesto.  Bake at 450* for 15 minutes till warmed and cooked a bit.  Oh, my, it tasted so good!!!  I served it with toothpicks in the baking tray and everyone liked it.  Nice thing is that being only vegetables you can eat as much as you want.

In the evening 15 of us went to a concert of Acadiana Symphony Camber Orchestra at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.  Oh, it was glorious!!! The hour and a half concert went by quickly.  They also had music with the youth choir and also the church choir.  All in all it was a very enjoyable evening with friends and music. Can’t beat that.

We’re all heading out this morning at 8:30 a.m. for a day of activities in Morgan City area, but I’ll leave that for tomorrow.  See you then.

Remember, you are loved.

    1. Ahh, so glad you enjoyed my little tale. To God be the glory-I just let Him use me to His good. But true, everybody needs to hear those words every day, We are all seeking to be heard or recognized that we exist...to mean something to somebody. And I'll happily accept your love back to me.

  3. When I worked in the oil patch, off shore, I caught the crew boat out of Morgan City. Back then it was a WWII PT boat that had been converted to personnel transport. Man could those Packard V12's roar and roll a wake up on the channel bank ! Glad you guys are having fun !
