Life Changes–New Condo

Gates are not easily found right now.  The person ahead of us at the Yard has been waiting 17 days for a gate….and we are behind them.  So we have decided to move on out.

We leave this morning and will spend a few days with The Mossmans in Hondo at the SKP park; then we will head out to Quartzsite, AZ…..take in the RV show, see friends, stay awhile at Boomerville and just hang out for a while.  It’s free camping so what the heck.

We are bidding our time till February 16th….well, cause that is the day we close on our condo!!!!!  Yes, we finally found “the right one” after putting in two bids on other places.  This one is in the south side of Sun City.  It is the style we wanted with quirky shaped rooms.  The only thing we have to do is change out the linoleum for tile in the bathroom and kitchen.  It is newly painted and well cared for.  Jim’s brother and SIL checked it out for us and gave us the thumbs up, so we bought it sight unseen.

Here’s a couple of photos…..

Yes, those are solid bamboo floors. We are so pleased.  We have a eat-in kitchen, pantry, large living room and separate dining room area.  We are so excited.

Our plans are to sell the Heartland Landmark and trade it for a 28-32 foot travel trailer or fifth-wheel.  We will stay in the condo during the winter with some side trips in the RV.

In the summer we will return to Colorado and staying in South Fork, but do want to take trips to Brainard Recreation Area outside of Nederland, Stillwater Campground in Granby and up to Ft. Collins area as well.

After Quartzsite we will probably stay at North Ranch in Congress until the closing and then it is a fast pace to buy furniture and everything else. Most things will stay in the RV so we have to buy everything else to fill the condo right down to paper towel holder and patio furniture.  It is like starting out on our own for the first time and having our first apartment to furnish.  But it will be fun.

A couple of weeks after closing we will be going to Tucson to attend Escapade (Escapees RV Club’s annual rally) and be part of the parking crew.  Looking forward to seeing many of our friends there as well.

Hope you are excited for us in our new venture as we are.

Remember, you are loved.

    1. I grew up in Florida and Jim and I have traveled there a couple of times, but it just isn't for us....too crowded. We are westerners and feel most at home in the west so Arizona suits us.
