Knitting Day

Since we woke up to snow on the ground, I decided it was a good day to stay in and knit.  I don’t subscribe to any magazines as we use a mail forwarding service and I have to pay for postage to have mail sent  from South Dakota to wherever we are staying at the time.  But I do peruse knitting magazines on sale in book stores or grocery stores and buy them occasionally.

A couple weeks ago I found a cute cowl pattern in a magazine and bought it and also bought the yarn used in the pattern.  Yesterday I enjoyed knitting on the cowl.

Later on I made clam chowder for dinner….it came out good!!!

Heinz and Angela came over to discuss when we will be going camping together up in South Fork.  Think we’ll go visit Rich and Terri at South Fork Campground since the national forest campgrounds aren’t opened yet.  It will be nice to have a little different scenery for a bit.

Being Tuesday we watched NCIS and NCIS-New York (our favorites) and went to bed about 10.

That was my day…..what did you do?

Remember, you are loved.
Here is the story behind this saying

  1. Are you on "Ravelry".... it's a knitting (or fiber) website... lots of free patterns, hints, forums etc. I'm like you... no magazine subscriptions... but I do carry around a couple of my favorite pattern books... one is almost 50 years old... and, yes, I used it then and still do ;-)

  2. Yes I'm on Ravelry and do get a lot of my patterns from there. But every once in a while I'll pick up a magazine to read under the awning

  3. A day of knitting and clam chowder... now, that sounds good! We are moved to our campground and know we will love it here. Remember that we would love to see you two if you get up to Wyoming! Be well! D & T
