Welcome 2011

We had a good 2010 that provided us another wonderful year of this fulltime RVing lifestyle.  We really feel blessed that we can live like this and enjoy all the joys of friends on the road and all the wonderful places we have seen and experienced.  My prayer is that we can do this forever.

“The Gang” gathered around 2 p.m. yesterday to play together.  The guys went to the Mossman’s to drink beer and watch the Norte Dame football game, while the ladies gathered at our rig to sip wine and Champaign while we watched the movie The American. (If anybody has seen that movie will someone please send me a comment on what the %&*^#@+ it was all about!  It didn’t make sense to us at all.  There was so little dialog you couldn’t understand what or why anything was happening.) Linda found a great Champaign (actually a sparkling wine) called Martini and Rossi Asti.  It’s a bit on the sweet side and oh, so good.

After the game everyone assembled at our rig to await the prime rib coming out of the oven.  The aroma was amazing!!!

The end product tasted just as amazing as it smelled.

I’m so happy we have our new table as we could move it away from the wall and it accommodated four people very easily.  I’ll tell you more about our new furniture in a future post.

Layered Pudding DessertTerri made my favorite, her layered chocolate pudding dessert.  I didn’t take a photo of it but here’s one I found online.  It was terrific and so appreciated it.  It was yummy!

We said good night about 9 p.m. and went our separate ways. I couldn’t stay up for the New Year, but I rarely do.

This morning we invited everybody over to our rig for a egg and sausage casserole/strata and homemade biscuits.  Linda brought over an different sparkling wine by Yellow Tail.  It was OK, but we all liked the Asti better.

After breakfast we all drove to a few other RV parks to check them out.  We like Rainbow Plantation but it is expensive at $85 a week plus electricity.  So we are mulling over all of us moving to another RV park that will save us about $65 each for the month.

Well, that’s all the news about our holiday celebration.  What did you do?

Remember, you are loved.
