Busy, busy, busy

We lost our camphosts in the Beaver Creek area because of a family medical emergency, and they had to leave for Texas.  With three campgrounds in that area, Jim and I felt we had to move from Park Creek to Beaver Creek Campground.  So Friday was moving day and we are settled in now.  With 43 campsites in three campgrounds we will stay busy.

Our wonderful camphosts in Tucker Ponds agreed to watch over Park Creek by checking it every night to make sure everyone has paid, cleaning the restrooms and maintaining the sites.  They will also go up to Lobo Lookout and Shaw Lake once a week to clean those restrooms, and daily clean the restroom at the boat ramp at Big Meadows Reservoir.

Jim will do the daily cleaning at Columbine and Lake Fork Rest Stops and watch over Highway Spring, Cross Creek and Upper Beaver Campgrounds.  I’ll maintain the larger Beaver Creek Campground and do the weekly and monthly paperwork.

So we have four people taking care of six campgrounds and five public restrooms….not the best way to do it, but sometimes you just got to do what you got to do. It’s hard to find good camphosts mid-season.

Then to top it all off, somewhere in the putting away of stuff and moving I can’t find my camera!!!  Gad zooks!  So no photos till I can find it again.  You haven’t seen it anywhere, have you?

Remember, you are loved.
