Our local Forest Service District uses horses and mules for trips into the mountain trails for various reasons. I can’t say I am a big horse lover - only ridden a horse a few times in my life - but I very much enjoy watching horses out in the open.
I’ve been known to pull off the side of the road to watch a herd of horses grazing in a pasture. There is something very serene to me to spend time watching horses graze.
As Jim filled the water tank on the back of the company truck, I went over to watch the horses and mules. As soon as I approached the enclosure they all came over to investigate me. It was nice to pet them and have them nuzzle my hand.
Remember, you are loved.
Where is South Fork Station at?
ReplyDeleteSouth Fork Station is on the right side going up towards Beaver Creek Campground. It's where the forest service has a bunkhouse and a place they have meetings.
