Potluck Sunday

I started out the day by going and doing laundry with Linda Mossman.  Then it was on to Walmart to do some shopping and lunch at Subway.

The weather in the afternoon turned warm and sunny with Jim put out the awning (oh, I love when he does that) and we sat outside and enjoyed being in short-sleeved shirts.

Betty decided to have a potluck every Sunday during this month of Mardi Gras, as most restaurants are closed on Sundays here in Abbeville.  So afternoon a crew decorated for Mardi Gras we had a potluck.

Marvin volunteered to cook the main dish of chicken and sausage gumbo.  He did a good job and everyone enjoyed it.

The complimenting side dishes filled out a delicious meal.

We must have all been tired cause the evening ended early.  I enjoy watching the Olympics and recorded Downton Abbey to watch later.

Remember, you are loved.

    1. Marvin is as ornery as ever. He continues to give Betty a bad time, but she shoves it back at him as good as she gets!

    1. This place is amazing and you really should come and experience it for yourselves. Mardi Gras time is the best but you have to make reservations a good year in advance.

  3. HI Bobby! It's been fun following your activities at Betty's. Say hi to Linda & Jim for us, too. Glad that they are there for Mardi Gras with you. Hugs from sunny AZ where we're playing desert Bocci ball! J&C

    1. We like celebrating Mardi Gras in the small towns here in Cajun country. It is more authentic. Next year we will be in AZ.
