Orem Back to Albuquerque

Our return flight to Albuquerque was uneventful.  The company (American Land & Leisure) Staff Manager, Gary Huntington,

brought to the airport about 4 p.m. as we wanted him to get off work in time, so we were 6 hours early for our flight.  We ate, played on the computer and the time went by fast.

By the way, Gary does have some openings for camphosts available in Utah campgrounds.  So if any of you would like to spend the summer in the beautiful mountains of Utah give Gary a call at 801-226-3564.  Here are some of the mountains that surround the company headquarters in Orem, Utah.
         

We made fast friends with the California Regional Managers, Tom and Mattie Paulsen. We had dinner with them each night of the meeting.

 
Come to find out that two of our camphost friends also work for the Paulsen’s, Phil Argus and Nikki and Mike Brundin. We exchanged hugs to give to them.

The two day meeting was very successful and useful.  Now we know what is expected of us and how to do it.  Here’s candid photos of the meeting.

It really unbelievable that the whole company of American Land & Leisure is run by eight people.  They do an outstanding job.

The night before we left we did call and make reservations at La Quinta at the Albuquerque airport.  We arrived a little before midnight and had a restful sleep.

Once we left the motel Jim had checked out a place to have breakfast and Frontier Restaurant had great Yelp review, so that’s where we went.

We parked across the street where the backside of all the buildings have fantastic trompe l'oeil images, an art technique to give the impression it is real.  They were stunning and fun to examine.

This place is really busy as they were at least 25 people ahead of us but the line moves quickly.

 

 

 

You walk in and place your order with one of four cashiers.  The kitchen is behind them.

 

 

You’re given a number, you pick up your order after your number appears on the lighted screens located all around the restaurant.

 

 

The food was EXCELLENT.  Jim had the Huevos Rancheros and I had their Western Omelet which didn’t contain meat, but a healthy layer of green chile and cheese.  Best omelet I’ve every had…so fluffy. Add on the homemade flour tortilla and we had a great breakfast.

            

The restaurant occupies the corner store and there are four other separate dining rooms which looks like they were originally separate stores that The Frontier took over as they business grew.

                            

After leaving Albuquerque we stopped in Santa Fe to see the new-to-her car our daughter, Beth purchased with Daddy’s help.  She is so proud of her purchase.

We drove on to Espanola to pick up our rig and our puppy dog….but that’s tomorrow’s post.
