Every year we go up to Creede to visit the site where Jim’s parent’s ashes are scattered. So last Friday we took that drive and we sure picked a beautiful day to do it.
Narrow road up Bachelor Loop-yes, it’s two way traffic on that itty-bitty road! | Mountains still have some snow on them |
Nice view these folks have. | |
Jim at the site overlooking Creede |
Pretty view coming down
Going back to Alamosa we decided to stop and look at Beaver Creek Reservoir to see how low the water level was this year.
The drive up is precarious…those trees are 340-50 feet tall down the side of the cliffs | Ice melting on the reservoir |
Pretty view looking south | Water has dropped about 20-30 feet |
On the way out of town we stopped to see Rich
and Terri Deacon, great buddies and managers of the South Fork Campground. We caught them racking up leaves in preparation to opening May 1st.
Our arrival necessitated a break and a chat.
That was our Friday….what did you do?
Remember, you are loved.
