We’ve been catching up with friends since we’ve been back in Alamosa.
Here’s Salai, my knitting buddy. We always go out to lunch at May Wa.
Since it was cold I had a huge bowl of Jampong, a spicy soup with noodles, tofu and lots of veggies. | Salai had vegetable low mein |
Last Tuesday we met with long time friends, Beth and Orville, who were also area managers in the Rio Grand National Forest. The four of us went through all the paperwork and tools we stored the end of last summer. When we were through we went back to Ramon’s in South Fork for lunch.
Jim has been making breakfast most mornings. Bacon and eggs for him, but he makes me a green chile omelet.
It has been cold, cold, cold here this spring. Our electric heater has been going 24/7 for several days now. We’ve even had snow a few times. We have more cold weather on the way. I had to go out and buy warmer clothes to cope.
Even Poncho takes to hiding under the blankets….laying his head on his own personal pillow…cute.
And I’ll close with this picture of Mt. Blanca taken yesterday from down the road a bit. Gaze at it for a while and quiet your mind for a moment.
Remember, you are loved.

Nice view of the mountains. Poncho is wise. I'm looking forward to your summer posts!
ReplyDeleteHowdy B&J,
ReplyDeleteThat omelet looks good, Jim; I'd go for that!!! Gripe, gripe, gripe, Bobbie, if it's not hot it's cold... Well, stay down here until it warms up up there!!! hee hee
Hope all of the bad weather gets through doing it's nastiness before y'all have to start 'cleaning-up' the camps...
Remember y'all are too, also...
Cold here too but not near what you have going on. Can't wait for the warm up though. We are into re-cleaning CG after the second flood since Feb.!!! Hope that is the last. Beautiful country there, have fun.
ReplyDeleteI do miss that mountain.... Enjoy your spring and summer.
