The day started off very cold and raining and then the wind kicked up a lot and Jim and I had to run outside and take down the awning before it got ripped off. A little after noon the rain stopped and the sun came out….it was going to be a pretty day.
Jim yells at me to come see what’s in the park. It was an armadillo….I’ve never seen one live before….seen the occasional on dead on the side of the road, but never live. I was intrigued watching it dig in the ground.
Yippeee, Sandy arrives! She drove straight through from Tennessee and arrived about 4. After greeting us all, the next thing was finding Poncho and giving him one of many, many treats. Sandy just loooves that dog!
Soon it was off to see the sunset, a favorite of all of us.
There was a man sitting on a chair with a fire and cooler watching his four fishing poles stuck in the sand. Sandy went out and spoke to him. He said he’d been there all day, hadn’t caught a thing, and he didn’t care. He said he’d had a great day!
From there we went to dinner at Flounder’s and, wouldn’t you know it, my camera battery died. So no pics, but it was very, very good. Jim and I shared a shrimp platter with so many different ways to serve shrimp….we actually left some, they gave you so much.
We finished off the evening by coming to our house for after dinner coffee adding a little something something.
Weather is suppose to be better for the rest of our stay….warmer and no rain. We’ll take full advantage of that by doing some sightseeing.
Remember, you are loved.
The pic of the guy fishing looks wonderful and relaxing!
